Professor Jordan Kantor will explore the enduring question of why art matters, while Art Basel’s Global Director of Fairs Vincenzo de Bellis and Global Head of Collector and Institutional Relations, Carly Murphy, offer an insider’s guide to navigating the global art market and the forces shaping it today. Art advisor Meredith Darrow concludes the morning with practical insights on collecting, from evaluating works of art to developing a personal approach to building a collection. Together, these sessions provide a foundation for understanding the cultural, intellectual, and market dimensions of collecting contemporary art.
